Hearts that beat to the tune of kindness can change the rhythm of the world.

C.J Peterson

We are the new century travelers; we let our hearts sing, and let our smiles shine. We are beautiful, soft and resilient. We trust and feel; we are vulnerable and we are grateful.

Each one of us is a tiny drop of the ocean, but we are all part of something greater.

We embrace the day and live in the moment because our soul is eternal. Our bodies will rise into ashes one day leaving behind a place for our children that they will still call Mother Earth. They will continue, like us, to breathe the same fresh air. They will continue to treat our planet with care, to nurture it, and feed it with love because we are all interconnected and giving back to Mother Earth is what she deserves.

That is why we make space for change, create with an open heart, and dance to a different beat...

Our fabrics are carefully selected and partly sourced from GOTS - Global Organic Textile Standard - certified partners. GOTS is recognized as the world leader for processing textiles produced from biological natural fibers. This means that in the harvest the fabrics are organic and that the entire production chain - fiber processing and textile finishing process - is completed without the use of any harmful chemicals.
At all stages of the processing chain, it is ensured that ecological and conventional fibers are not mixed, and that the ecological fibers are not contaminated.

GOTS defines the environmental requirements along the entire textile production chain, but also defines the social criteria that needs to be maintained.

Our silk is sourced in India and is called Ahimsa silk. Ahimsa is a Sanskrit word that literally translates to non-violence. Ahimsa is the abstinence from causing any pain or harm to any living creatures and stands for compassion. Therefore, the silk is also called peace silk and is produced from cocoons without killing the pupae inside.

We also source vintage fabrics or styles over the world and upcycle them into a new fashionable product.

90% of our supplies are either coming from natural sources, are recycled, GOTS or OEKO-TEX® 100 certified.

GOTS certified buttons, natural elastic rubber bands, OEKO-TEX® 100 certified nickel free hooks, but also conscious dyeing, are all contributing to the eco-conscious fashion circle of Tassel Tales. And of course our little tassels are made with love and cotton.

We like to preserve what was given to us because life is easier when we live from the heart. That is why we like to manufacture responsibly, with care, and generate awareness by wearing sustainable fashion.

Our clothes are made from high-quality environmentally friendly fabrics. The added materials to the fabrics are either recycled, GOTS or OEKO-TEX® 100 certified and contribute to the eco-conscious fashion circle of Tassel Tales.

Our products are giving you the chance to live a responsible lifestyle and generate environmental awareness.

No harmful chemicals - No bleaching

We love our planet and have a vision of a beautiful Earth. To see for yourself the sustainability of our Tassel Tales supply chain and products, we invite you to have a sneak peak into the sourcing world of Tassel Tales.

After the sourcing of fabrics, our batch of textiles is sent to a tiny parts of the world to be sewn on a fair trade basis and step-by-step turned into a beautiful, individual and lovable piece of the Tassel Tales collection.

India - Pieces of our Ready to Wear collection are sewn by women from the ethical fashion social enterprise Saheli Women.
A social and women empowering enterprise employing around 20 women, which was launched as a social initiative by the non-profit organisation IPHD (Institute for Philanthropy and Humanitarian Development) for rural community development.

Morocco - Our handmade tassels and upcycled Jeans Jackets are beautifully made by the women of the Al Kawtar women’s collective  which is supporting handicapped women in Marrakech.

We also support small manufactures and artisans in the vibrant souks of Marrakech where some of our products are handmade with passion and care.

The brown Tassel Tales box you receive when you order a piece of our sweet collection is made from recycled materials. The tape we use to close it is sustainable and coated with natural rubber or plant glue. Even the Tassel Tales wrapping paper, clothes tags, strings and textile dust bags are either natural, organic or recycled.

It is not easy to be 100% environmentally friendly but, with open hearts, a shift in perspective and your help, we are willing to make space for change and try to give back where we can.
